Coaching
Coaching assists individuals in leadership positions
to institute ongoing multicultural change by providing an avenue
to discuss the challenges that emerge and to develop options for
addressing them.
The coaching relationship is based on a contractual
agreement decided by the client in collaboration with the coach.
It builds on the existing skills, knowledge, and experience of the
client. While the training/consulting places the consultant more
in a role to give direction from a place of knowledge, coaching
focuses more on exploring, facilitating, partnership and long-term
development.
Coaching provides:
- A supportive and professional coach who listens and provides
feedback on options with a fresh perspective
- A partnership focused on improved outcomes
- An ongoing focus and accountability process on personal and
organizational goals
Multicultural Coaching addresses these areas
of personal development:
1. Leadership effectiveness
2. Cross cultural communication skills
3. Effective multicultural teams
4. Credibility and trust across differences
