Support Process
Groups
Provides support process groups for intercultural and intra-cultural
groups. These groups provide an opportunity for participants to
deepen their understanding of oppression, and to develop new options
and strategies for addressing it’s impact in their lives and
in their organizations.
Support groups provide:
- A safe environment for self exploration and healing
- In-depth discussion
- An opportunity for changing personal internalized oppression
behaviors
- A framework for challenging personal prejudice and biases
- An opportunity to break isolation build community and receive
support
Support groups address these areas:
- Isolation from both people who are similar, and people who
are different
- Sufficient time and skill–building opportunities to strengthen
cross cultural communication
