Terry
Berman
Terry Berman brings 20 years of experience
in the field of multicultural training and consultation within the
public and private sector. For the past 10 years she was a principal
with “DiversityMatters,” utilizing her expertise in
organizational development, leadership development and coaching,
mediation/conflict resolution and training for trainers.
Ms. Berman is dedicated to supporting organizations
to effectively integrate multiculturalism into all aspects of their
organization. In this vein, she has developed innovative programs
designed for leaders that include multicultural best practices in
key areas, such as, hiring and retention, supervision and evaluation,
program design and outreach, board development and collaborations.
As the former Director of Training for the
Multicultural Training Resource Center, she designed, implemented
and coordinated a wide variety of services to address workforce
diversity and multicultural management initiatives.
Ms. Berman is a West Coast consultant with
VISIONS, Inc., a national consultation and training firm specializing
in providing concrete, organizational development strategies for
working in a multicultural society.
Ms. Berman is also an artist, performer and
video producer/director with an emphasis on social change, Her videos
have been screened nationally and internationally.
Ms. Berman holds an MA from San Francisco
State University. She holds a BA from New College in San Francisco.
She has additional specialized training in “Understanding
and Teaching Cross Cultural Communication” from the Summer
Institute for Intercultural Communication, Portland, OR and “Neuro
Linguistics Programming: Meta Communication,” from Inward
Ways, Berkeley, CA
A native of South Africa, she has lived in
England and has been a San Francisco Bay Area resident since 1977.
